This allows the control to maintain\u003cbr\u003e\nconstant speed with overhauling loads and provides rapid\u003cbr\u003e\ninstant reversing and controlled braking. Because of its excellent controllability and response time, the KBRG-212D can\u003cbr\u003e\nreplace servos in many applications. The control is\u003cbr\u003e\nfactory set for armature feedback, which provides up to 1%\u003cbr\u003e\nload regulation over a motor base speed of 50:1. Tachometer\u003cbr\u003e\nfeedback is also provided for superior load regulation if\u003cbr\u003e\nrequired. A simple jumper setting converts the KBRG-212D\u003cbr\u003e\nto a torque control. In this mode, motor torque rather than\u003cbr\u003e\nmotor speed is controlled.\u003cbr\u003e\nAn important feature of the drive is the factory-calibrated,\u003cbr\u003e\nbuilt-in, selectable, motor current jumper. It eliminates the\u003cbr\u003e\nneed to recalibrate IR Comp and Current Limit for most\u003cbr\u003e\napplications.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe control contains an Enable function which can be\u003cbr\u003e\nused to start and stop the motor electronically via a contact\u003cbr\u003e\nclosure. Through a jumper selection, the motor can be set to\u003cbr\u003e\nrapidly regenerate to a “stop” or to “coast to stop.”\u003cbr\u003e\nKB’s exclusive Auto Inhibit® circuit provides safe, smooth\u003cbr\u003e\nstarting during rapid cycling of the AC line. The Overspeed\u003cbr\u003e\nProtect Circuit prevents failure of the power bridge in extreme\u003cbr\u003e\noverhauling conditions. Reliability of the KBRG-212D is further\u003cbr\u003e\nenhanced with the use of a high speed current limit circuit\u003cbr\u003e\nalong with armature fusing and MOV transient protection.\u003cbr\u003e\nLED’S, which can be used for diagnostics, are provided for\u003cbr\u003e\npower on and motor overload. A rugged extruded aluminum\u003cbr\u003e\nheatsink provides enhanced heat transfer which provides a\u003cbr\u003e\nhigher control rating while maintaining cooler running SCR’s.\u003cbr\u003e\nSeveral accessories are available for the KBRG-212D,\u003cbr\u003e\nwhich enhance its adaptability to many applications.
