The efficient PWM waveform produces an\r\nalmost pure DC current to the motor (form factor 1.05),\r\nwhich has several advantages over a conventional SCR\r\ncontrol. PWM significantly lowers audible motor noise\r\nand provides longer brush life. It also produces less\r\nmotor heating allowing a smaller, less costly motor to be\r\nused for most applications. Another advantage of PWM is\r\nhigher output voltage, which provides increased output\r\nspeed. In addition, pulse-by-pulse current sensing provides\r\nshort circuit protection and prevents control damage due\r\nto shorted motors.\r\nA unique feature of the KBWT Series is its active bridge,\r\nwhich provides a substantial reduction in AC line surge\r\ncurrent each time the control is turned on. This allows the\r\ncontrol to be turned on or off rapidly without damage to\r\ncritical components. The KBWT also contains a built-in\r\nsafety circuit that will shut down the control if the main\r\npower transistor short circuits. This prevents high-speed\r\nrunaway, a potential problem with competitors’ controls.\r\nThe KBWT utilizes heat-spreader construction. This\r\nsystem provides an enhanced thermal path that eliminates\r\novertemperature cycles which cause premature failure of\r\nthe power transistors.\r\nOther features of the KBWT are (I x t) motor burnout\r\nprotection, which will shut the control down if the motor\r\nis overloaded for a predetermined time, and the\r\nPotentiometer Safety Circuit™ (optional), which prevents\r\nthe control from starting when the AC line is applied unless\r\nthe speed potentiometer is reset to zero. Diagnostic LED’s\r\nfor “Power On” and “Overload (OL)” indication are also\r\nprovided. The control contains quick disconnect terminals\r\nas standard. A potentiometer (5K), isolated analog input\r\nsignal (0-5 VDC), or PWM microprocessor output can be\r\nused to vary the output of the control\r\n\r\nDimensions: KBWT- 210: 6.80\" x 7.00\" x 2.4\" \u003c\/div\u003e","brand":"Industrial Motors","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51663115780418,"sku":"KBWT-210","price":280.8,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0972\/2298\/4002\/files\/kbwt_2_8c485cd6-91cf-4315-9240-b10697049d5c.jpg?v=1766405970","url":"https:\/\/industrialmotors.com\/products\/kbwt-210-8610-dc-drives-chassis","provider":"Industrial Motors","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
